Tonnesen Leads Day One of Pac-12 Multi Championships Published by Arizona SID on May 7th, 2016 SEATTLE, Wash. – The Arizona Track Cats had three athletes in action today competing in the pac-12 Multi Championships at the University of Washington. Pau Tonnesen lead day one and is currently on pace to complete his quest of becoming a back to back Pac-12 decathlon champion. He currently has a total of 4,025 points. He posted a time of 11.37 seconds in the 100-meter, and marks of 23 ft. - 11.5 in. (7.30m) in the long jump, 45 ft. - 9.75 in. (13.96m) in the shot put, 6 ft. - 9 in. (2.06m) in the high jump, and a time of 50.88 seconds in the 400-meter race. Alyssa Thompson is currently in sixth place with 3,268 points. She did that by running a time of 14.70 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a personal best mark in the high jump at 5 ft. - 6.5 in. (1.69m), a personal best in shot put at 37 ft. - 1 in. (11.30m), followed by another personal best time in the 200-meter at 24.54 seconds. With all of those personal records, Thompson could well be on her way to a personal best heptathlon score. Her current best is 5,343 set at last years Pac-12 Multi Championships. Tiana Bonds is right behind her teammate at seventh place with 3,180 points. She did that with a mark of 13.90 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, followed by a personal best of 5 ft. - 7.75 in. (1.72m) in the high jump, a mark of 29 ft. - 8.75 in. (9.06m) in the shot put, and ending the day with a time of 25.52 seconds in the 200-meter.
