Mecca McGlaston, Twanisha Terry, Angie Annelus and Lanae-Tava Thomas ran the fastest time in the world this year in the prelims of the 4x100-meter relay, clocking 42.44 seconds at the Pac-12 Outdoor Championships at Roy P. Drachman Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. Annelus, Terry and Thomas combined to sweep the 100 and 200, with McGlaston also placing sixth in the 200 in 23.45 seconds and third in the 100-meter hurdles in 13.13 seconds. Terry also repeated in the 100-meter dash in a wind-legal 11.09 seconds, becoming the first USC female athlete to capture back-to-back athletes since Ginnie Crawford in 2004-06. Annelus won her first 200-meter conference title in 22.71, becoming the first Trojans female athlete since Tynia Gaither in 2015 to secure the crown. Annelus was second (11.17) and Thomas was third (11.28) in the 100, with Thomas second (22.91) and Terry third (23.28) in the 200. More videos |
